2023 Row X Row Fiano

Wine Notes:

Carefully handpicked during the early hours of the morning, the fruit was delivered to the winery in pristine condition. Roughly a third of the bunches were tipped into the press whilst the rest was destemmed and tipped on top. The fruit was allowed a few hours of skin contact in order to extract desired phenolic compounds. It was then pressed to a stainless steel tank for settling. The juice was racked with some light solids to a small tank for inoculation. Fermentation took place over 2 weeks at between 14 and 18℃. Swiftly, the wine was treated with a dose of sulfur for protection, followed by heat and cold stabilisation procedures to ensure its quality and readiness for bottling in mid May.

The wine offers a delightful and vibrant aroma, where the scents of white stone fruit, lychee, and delicate hints of passionfruit merge with enticing lemon curd and exotic spice notes. On the palate, the abundance of fruit creates a rich and beautiful texture, while a subtle touch of nuttiness emerges towards the finish, adding depth and complexity to the overall flavour profile. The crisp acidity serves as a unifying force, seamlessly tying all the flavours together and enhancing the wine's length and overall enjoyment on the palate.

 

 

2023 Row X Row Rose

Wine Notes:

A little over three tonnes of handpicked Grenache grapes, from our Manjalda vineyard, were destemmed and tipped into the press without sulphur for a few hours. Free run and pressings were combined and adjusted before being cold settled for 48 hours. The juice and some light solids were racked to a tank to commence fermentation. Once dry, the wine, along with some light fluffy lees, was moved to old French oak barrels. Regular stirring took place to enhance the wine's texture before it was eventually racked out. Once the wine was heat and cold stable it was ready for bottling in late June.

The aromatics of this wine are undeniable. The alluring scents of perfumed rosewater, guava, and red raspberry immediately entice and intrigue. On the palate, the wine reveals a generous and diverse range of flavours, with the refreshing essence of nashi pear and pink lady apple. The presence of juicy strawberries and cream, a signature characteristic of this wine, impart a gorgeous silky texture. The refreshing acidity adds a lively and uplifting finish, enhancing the whole experience.
